History

Emma: “One year after beginning to work with naturopathy, I started a 2 year course then did a further 2 years on an apprenticeship. I then worked until 2006 building my experience in practice. I taught courses in London, Bristol, and Glasgow and went on to start the first College of Naturopathic Nutrition in Dublin.

Eventually I decided to come back home and establish the first college in Wales: in 2006 I opened the School of Naturopathic Health Studies, in Cardiff. We are a fully accredited naturopathic nutrition college - Society of Naturopaths.

Support Tutor

Emma George

Emma has worked in a consultant in business and wellbeing for over a decade, drawing on her unique background of psychology, human resource management, and naturopathy. Emma’s approach is highly professional and underpinned by integrity, and this has always led to the delivery of successful outcomes for her clients.

Emma’s areas of particular specialism include energy and vitality, resilience and stress management. Following a lifelong interest in health and nutrition, she first began her formal training in naturopathic nutrition in 2013 and qualified as a naturopath in 2016.

Emma has long held a belief and strong personal interest in wellbeing, having turned to vegetarianism at the age of 13. Following the birth of her son in her twenties she experienced a range of health complaints – low energy, hair loss, and low mood, and it was this that motivated her to investigate approaches to better levels of health and wellbeing that could not be found in the doctors office. After working 1-2-1 with a holistic nutritionist to successfully overcome the health complaints Emma passionately embarked on her formal naturopathic training.

As a naturopath who has helped men, women, children and families overcome their health challenges and restore their natural levels of energy and wellbeing, Emma is an advocate of healing the body and mind naturally by understanding the root cause of problems and using food, nature and lifestyle interventions to remedy those.

Emma is a support tutor to students at the School of Naturopathic Nutrition and has taught on the highly regarded Rejuvenation course. Each year since 2016 Emma has been assistant chef at the summer mini festival retreats at Glastonbury providing raw goodness for 30 people three times a day!

Emma is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; a board member of the International Institute of Health Management and Quality; and a non-executive director of Cardiff Salad Garden
